We are a boutique legal consultancy practice for the creative industries. More specifically, we offer intellectual property consultations and strategy advice, trade mark and design registrations and a bespoke legal document drafting service.

At HOUSE : LAW, we want our clients to feel comfortable and at home whilst working with us, just as they would with their own in-house legal team.

We work as an in-house legal team would but on a freelance basis. There is a varied list of legal considerations for any business. We can provide one point of contact with whom our clients can manage them all.

Our aim is to wrap our clients' creative businesses up in a comprehensive and adaptable patchwork of protective documents and rights. HOUSE : LAW can provide one point of contact to deal with it all, wrapping both founder and business up in a comprehensive and adaptive patchwork of different legal tools leaving them feeling secure and covered.

We know that things happen at different speeds and at different times and with this in mind, we can work with clients on a specific project or on an ongoing basis as they prefer.

Our founder, Daisy Dier James is an Oxford University graduate, a qualified solicitor and an alumnus of Bird & Bird LLP, an international law firm renowned for its intellectual property expertise. Daisy teams the wealth of knowledge and experience gained from working at a top tier international firm with a commercially focused mindset. This enables her to offer advice which is both pragmatic and financially viable. Daisy’s experience working on in-house legal teams gives her a broad reaching general knowledge of company law that allows her to advise her clients on, and project manage their overall legal strategy as well as specifically advising on IP strategy and trade mark and design registration applications.

To provide a seamless experience for our clients, we work with a group of trusted and highly regarded consultants, trademark attorneys and solicitors from industry leading firms.
